00:54 (IST)
So, the U19 World Cup 2022 semi-finals are set! England vs Afghanistan on 1 February, and India vs Australia on 2 February. That's all for now, but we'll be returning with LIVE coverage for India's semi-final. Until then, goodbye and good night!
00:51 (IST)
Yash Dhull, India captain: Our team combination has been very good and the boys are gelling well. Whenever someone is down, we all get together to bring them up. It is a lifetime experience here. The team is improving day by day. Laxman sir giving his experience gives us a lot of help in the middle. We will look at the semis on the day of the match depending on how the wicket is.
00:48 (IST)
Rakibul Hasan, Bangladesh captain: The toss decided the match today. The wicket was very soft and their bowlers took advantage and bowled well. We played some shots which we shouldn't have played. Had we taken 10-15 overs, we could have done better. As a batting and bowling unit we did well. It is hard but we are looking forward.
00:44 (IST)
Ravi Kumar is the Player of the Match for his figures of 3/14 (7 overs)
00:41 (IST)

Angkrish is off the mark with a single, that also gets India's scoreboard up and running. There seems to be an issue with the bowlers' landing area, and there's a slight delay in resumption of play. Just a few moments later, Ashiqur is good to go and play resumes.
22:11 (IST)
OUT! Edged and gone! Harnoor Singh departs for a duck. Back of a length outside off from Hasan Sakib, and Harnoor gets an outside edge and onto the keeper. Harnoor Singh c Md Fahim b Tanzim Hasan Sakib 0

Bawa, in fact, with his knock of 162* against Uganda, surpassed Shikhar Dhawan's knock of 158 to register the highest individual score by an Indian at the U19 World Cup.
Left-arm orthodox bowler Vicky Ostwal is India's top wicket-taker at the moment, with seven scalps from three games.

ISL 2021-22: Kiyan Nassiri’s hat-trick powers ATK Mohun Bagan to win over SC East Bengal
Goa: It was a breathless Kolkata derby as ATK Mohun Bagan left it late to secure a memorable 3 -1 win over arch-rivals SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Saturday.
The win was single-handedly delivered by Kiyan Nassiri, the youngest ever hat-trick scorer in ISL.
Son of East Bengal legend Jamshid Nassiri, Kiyan's goals cancelled out the strike from Darren Sidoel (56’) who gave the Red & Gold Brigade a shock lead in the second half.
The Kolkata derby began with a measured approach by both teams. The best early chance fell to SCEB’s Marcelo Ribeiro five minutes before the half-hour mark who found acres of space behind the ATKMB backline.
However, the forward sent his shot wide off the mark from a one-on-one situation. The Mariners also had a handful of chances as they strived to score the opener with Liston Colaco and Subhasish Bose coming close with their respective attempts.
The Mariners dominated more of the possession but a lack of end product meant that the outfits went into the halftime break on level terms.
The second half began on a fiery note with Colaco hitting the top corner with a right-footed curler within minutes from the restart.
On the other end, Antonio Perosevic made Amrinder Singh pull out a crucial save on his near post with a strong left hand. However, the deadlock was finally broken against all odds by SC East Bengal through Darren Sidoel.
The midfielder attacked the near post from a corner, got to the ball first, and guided it past the goalkeeper cleverly.
The Mariners scored the equaliser after the hour mark through Kiyan, who came off the bench to make his second appearance for the club.
A couple of minutes later, ATKMB then had the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot through David Williams. The Australian, however, managed to send his spot-kick into the stands.
Hira Mondal then turned up and made a goal-line clearance to deny Colaco a goal.
Six minutes were added for stoppages by the officials which were enough for more moments of magic. A header from Williams hit the post and fell to Kiyan who made no mistake with the volley and scored the crucial goal.
A minute later, he finally completed an iconic hattrick with an opportunistic finish deep into injury time.
The cameo was enough to ensure three points for the Mariners. SC East Bengal plays top-four candidates Chennaiyin FC in their next at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Wednesday while ATK Mohun Bagan will clash against reigning champions Mumbai City FC at the PJN Stadium on Thursday.

ISL 2021-22: Ogbeche shows SC East Bengal no mercy as Hyderabad FC go top with 4-0 win
Hyderabad FC reclaimed the top spot in the 2021-22 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) standings with a dominating 4-0 win over SC East Bengal at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday.
Bartholomew Ogbeche (21’, 44’, 74’) scored a sensational hat-trick to extend his lead in the goal-scoring charts. Aniket Jadhav (45+1’) also got on the scoresheet for the Nizams. The result takes them to the top of the table with 20 points, ahead of Kerala Blasters FC on goal difference.
Joao Victor tested Arindam Bhattacharja from a free-kick early into the game following a strong start by the Nizams. The goalkeeper was called into action a few more times later after having to make saves from Sauvik Chakrabarti and Aniket Jadhav. However, the custodian could not keep the ball out for long as Bartholomew Ogbeche’s header escaped his grip and landed inside the net for the first goal.
SC East Bengal gave a better account of themselves after the drinks break in the first half. They almost scored the equaliser but a save from Laxmikant Kattimani and a goal-line clearance from Joao kept the lead intact. At the stroke of the 41st minute, HFC doubled the lead after a comedy of errors by SCEB defence allowed Ogbeche to weave past the goalkeeper and score with ease.
Aniket Jadhav then added more misery by scoring the third after a couple of minutes. His low shot from the left flank found the bottom-right corner and the Nizams went into the halftime break with a three-goal advantage.
Marcelo Ribeiro made his debut from the bench in the second half as the Red & Gold Brigade tried to find a breakthrough. However, it was HFC that scored the fourth as Ogbeche finally got his first hattrick of the season at the stroke of the 75th minute. Javier Siverio’s shot deflected into the Nigerian’s path who made no mistake in slotting the shot into the back of the net.
SCEB had a penalty awarded after Ribeiro was tripped inside the box but the spot-kick was saved well by Kattimani who correctly guessed Franjo Prce’s attempt. The Nizams kept their clean sheet intact for the remainder of the match and secured important three points.
Hyderabad FC face Odisha FC in their next fixture at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Thursday while SC East Bengal await a stern test of ATK Mohun Bagan in the Kolkata Derby at the PJN Stadium on Saturday.

U-19 World Cup 2022: Harnoor, Raghuvanshi star as India thump Ireland to qualify for Super League quarter-finals
Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi's show with the bat was backed up by a dominant bowling performance as India defeated Ireland by 174 runs in Group B of the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup in Trinidad at the Brian Lara Stadium on Wednesday.
With this win, India have now registered victories in their opening two matches and qualify for the Super League quarter-finals. The colts will lock horns against Uganda in their final group stage game on Saturday.

India were playing with a depleted playing XI as six players tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the match, but this was no problem for the side as they registered a comprehensive win.
Chasing 308, Ireland got off to the worst start possible as Liam Doherty (7) and Jack Dickson (0) lost their wickets. Ravi Kumar dismissed Doherty while Rajvardhan Hangargekar got the better of Dickson. Ireland's troubles increased when David Vincent (8) was sent back to the pavilion via a run-out in the seventh over of the innings, reducing them to 17/3.
Ireland kept on losing wickets at regular intervals, and in the end, India registered a comprehensive 174-run win. Nathan McGuire and Scott MacBeth put on a brave show for Ireland as the duo put on 39 runs for the seventh wicket, but in the end, it did not prove enough.
Earlier, Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi played knocks of 88 and 79 respectively as India posted in the allotted fifty overs. Sent into bat, the colts got off to a brilliant start with the bat as openers Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi put on 164 runs for the first wicket, which saw both batters going past their fifty-run mark. Ireland finally got the breakthrough in the 26th over as Jamie Forbes dismissed Raghuvanshi (79).
Harnoor Singh (88) also missed out on a century as he was sent back to the pavilion by Matthew Humphreys in the 35th over and India was reduced to 195/2. Stand-in skipper Nishant Sindhu (36), Rajvardhan Hangargekar (39*), and Raj Bawa (42) also chipped in with valuable knocks to help India post a score of more than the 300-run mark.
Brief Scores: India 307/5 (Harnoor Singh 88, Angkrish Raghuvanshi 79; Muzamil Sherzad 3-79); Ireland 133 all out (Scott MacBeth 32, Joshua Cox 28; Kaushal Tambe 2-8).

Highlights, India vs Ireland, ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022: India qualify for Super League phase with big win
01:31 (IST)
That's about it from us tonight. India were missing Yash Dhull and few other players due to COVID-19, but under Nishant Sindhu, they fought hard to register a mammoth win over Ireland to advance to the Super League quarter-finals. The Boys in Blue will next face Uganda in their final group game on Saturday. Until then, it's goodbye and good night!
01:28 (IST)
Nishant Sindhu, India captain: I'm really happy with the win. It was great to see everyone sticking to their roles and plans. We had to focus early, had to keep those things (COVID19 cases in the camp) out of the mind and the boys responded well.
01:27 (IST)
Tim Tector, Ireland captain: Have to give credit to India. They came out with the bat and put pressure on us straightaway. We didn't bowl particularly well although we did pull things back well later on. We were happy to restrict them to 307, because it was a good surface. Was always going to be a challenge for us. Losing early wickets put us on the back foot. Maybe we could have been more proactive.
01:25 (IST)
Harnoor Singh (88) is the Player of the Match
01:21 (IST)
After 39 overs, Ireland 133 all out
That's that then! India have now qualified for the tournament's Super League phase, with a big 174-run win over Ireland. Muzamil Sherzad was the last to get dismissed, he went for the slog towards deep midwicket but Raj Bawa came in running to complete the catch.
01:17 (IST)
OUT! That's the finishing touch from Kaushal Tambe. Sherzad slogged it towards deep midwicket, and Raj Bawa running in, accurately claimed the catch.
01:12 (IST)
OUT! Bowled ém and Forbes departs. Kaushal Tambe makes no mistake with this delivery. India just one wicket away from victory.
01:09 (IST)
After 37 overs, Ireland 124/8 (Humphreys 9, Forbes 2)
Another wicket falls as MacBeth is dismissed by Aneeshwar. Get's an outside edge and Dinesh Bana makes no mistake with the catch.
00:46 (IST)
After 32 overs, Ireland 105/7 (MacBeth 24)
Aneeshwar Gautam is into his first over, and boy does he impress! He concedes just the one run, and adds more misery to Ireland with the wicket of McGuire.
00:44 (IST)
OUT! Ireland lose their seventh wicket. You miss, I hit moment for Aneeshwar Gautam as he gets rid of McGuire. Nathan McGuire b Aneeshwar Gautam 14
00:36 (IST)
After 30 overs, Ireland 102/6 (MacBeth 22, McGuire 13)
Vicky Ostwal continues. MacBeth with an exquisite shot towards deep midwicket for a maximum. He follows it up with a four just a couple of balls later. That would certainly bring some cheer on Ireland fans. 10 runs from the over. Ireland bring up their 100.
00:14 (IST)
After 22 overs, Ireland 68/6 (MacBeth 1, McGuire 1)
Vicky Ostwal continues his brilliant form with his first wicket of the match. That's six wickets for him in the tournament so far. He gets rid of Le Roux, who's struck LBW. He goes for the reverse sweep but misses, the ball hitting the pads instead. The batter had even missed the length in that one as well.
00:11 (IST)
OUT! Another setback for Ireland as Le Roux is struck LBW by Vicky Ostwal. Tossed up fuller, Le Roux misses the reverse sweep and is hit there. Huge appeal and the umpire gives it out. Philippus le Roux lbw b Vicky Ostwal 3
00:09 (IST)
After 21 overs, Ireland 66/5 (MacBeth 0, Le Roux 3)
Garv Sangwan continues. He sees off Joshua Cox. Short, outside off, Cox wanted to smash this but got a thick edge instead onto the keeper Dinesh Bana. Bana completes the catch in his third attempt, which is not before a fumble.
00:06 (IST)
OUT! Joshua Cox's stint at the crease comes to an end. Cox gets athick edge, and onto keeper Dinesh Bana, who fumbles a bit before completing the catch in the third attempt. Garv Sangwan with the wicket again. Joshua Cox c Dinesh Bana b Garv Sangwan 28
00:01 (IST)
After 20 overs, Ireland 60/4 (Cox 22, Le Roux 3)
Change of bowling for India. Vicky Ostwal, who took a five-wicket haul against South Africa in the previous match, is into the attack. Three runs from the over.
23:35 (IST)
After 15 overs, Ireland 36/4 (Cox 4, Le Roux 0)
Garv Sangwan, 17 year-old, is introduced to the attack. Tector with a couple of runs in the first ball of the over. He then rotates strike to Cox, who then returns the favour with another single. However, it's more misery for Ireland as Tim Tector falls to the hands of Kaushal Tambe at gully. Garv Sangwan with the wicket.
23:33 (IST)
OUT! Caught by Tambe as Garvgets rid of the Irish skipper Tim Tector. Tim Tector c Kaushal Tambe b Garv Sangwan 15
23:07 (IST)
After 8 overs, Ireland 17/3 (Cox 0, Tector 0)
A run-out would probably be the last thing Ireland would have wanted at this stage. Pushed towards mid-on for a quick single but Vincent falls short at the bowler's end, and Raj Bawa makes no mistake with the direct hit. Skipper Tim Tector is the new batter.
23:04 (IST)
OUT! Direct hit and Vincent is way short of safety at the bowler's end. Raj Bawa with the direct hit, and misjudgement from Vincent costs his wicket. David Vincent run out (Raj Bawa) 8
22:54 (IST)
After 5 overs, Ireland 10/2 (Joshua Cox 0, David Vincent 2)
Ravi Kumar continues. Two runs and a wicket, as Doherty departs. Liam Doherty was looking to play it over the midwicket area, but Vicky Ostwal comes running in to complete the catch on time. And guess what?! Hangargekar continues the next over, Jack Dickson, who was the new batter after Doherty departed, is struck leg before. Double blow for Ireland.
22:53 (IST)
OUT! Struck LBW and Jack Dickson departs. Hangargekar with the wicket this time and it's a double blow for Ireland.
22:49 (IST)
OUT! Brilliant run from Vicky Ostwal to complete the catch, as Doherty clicks this one over midwicket. Ravi Kumar draws first blood. Liam Doherty c Vicky Ostwal b Ravi Kumar 7
22:36 (IST)
Update: India Under-19 skipper Yash Dhull, his deputy Sheikh Rasheed and four of their teammates have tested positive for COVID-19, forcing them out of the Group B World Cup game against Ireland here on Wednesday.
Apart from Dhull and Rasheed, batter Aaradhya Yadav, Vasu Vats, Manav Parakh, and Siddharth Yadav were also found infected with the virus, because of which India barely managed to field an XI against Ireland.
Click here to read more details.
22:33 (IST)
After 1 over, Ireland 1/0 (Doherty 1, Vincent 0)
Welcome back. Ireland have begun the chase, with Liam Doherty and David Vincent opening for them. Remember, their target is 308, which is a huge task for them. Doherty gets off the mark with a single.
22:01 (IST)
Ater 50 overs, India 307/5 (Dinesh 1, Hangargekar 39)
So, India, without their skipper Yash Dhull has managed to post a challenging total of over 300. Muzamil Sherzad continued, and India did lose Kaushal Tambe this over, but three consecutive sixes from Hangargekar and a four to finish the innings have taken them to 307/5 from 50 overs. Ireland have a huge task in hand, needing 308 to win the contest. Do join us in another 40 minutes or so for the chase.
21:55 (IST)
OUT! Tambe's clean bowled by Muzamil Sherzad, who's incredible spell continues.
21:48 (IST)
After 48 overs, India 271/4 (Kaushal 4, Hangargekar 5)
Another blow for India as Sherzad removes Raj Bawa. He's clean bowled, and India lose their fourth wicket. Kaushal Tambe is the new batter and he's off the mark with a couple of runs.
21:46 (IST)
OUT! Clean bowled! Raj Bawa departs after scoring 42 runs Sherzad was very accurate in that delivery. Raj Bawa b Muzamil Sherzad 42
21:39 (IST)
After 46 overs, India 262/3 (Raj 41, Hangargekar 2)
Sherzad with the wicket of Nishant (36), who's caught by the keeper Joshua Cox. R Hangargekar is the new batter in. Five runs and a wicket from that over.
21:37 (IST)
OUT! Caught by keeper Joshua Cox and Nishant departs. Nishant Sindhu c Joshua Cox b Muzamil Sherzad 3
21:15 (IST)
After 40 overs, India 221/2 (Raj 23, Nishant 20)
Sherzad continues. Nishant punishes the Irish bowler with back-to-back boundaries. We're now into the last 10 overs of the Indian innings, it should be interesting as to how much India will be able to put up on board. Nine runs off the over.
21:01 (IST)
After 36 overs, India 198/2 (Nishant 1, Raj 19)
Harnoor Singh is the latest to depart, for 88 as he too misses out on a century. He's struck LBW by Matthew Humphreys. Stand-in skipper Nishant Sindhu joins Raj Bawa.
20:59 (IST)
OUT! No century for Harnoor either, as he's struck LBW by Matthew Humphreys. It was a lound appeal from the Irish and the umpire had no hesitation in giving him out.
20:42 (IST)
After 32 overs, India 186/1 (Raj 13, Harnoor 83)
Jamie Forbes returns for his last over. He's been excellent with figures of 1/30 from nine overs. Raj Bawa with a lofted six over long-off fence. Eight runs off the over.

After 28 overs, India 174/1 (Harnoor 80, Raj 4)
A breakthrough finally for Ireland, as Jamie Forbes gets rid of Angkrish for 79. Raj Bawa comes in at number three, while Harnoor Singh is into his 80s.
20:03 (IST)
After 21 overs, India 133/0 (Harnoor 53, Angkrish 71)
India are on top at the moment. Harnoor Singh registers a half-century, with a single towards short fine leg. Six runs coming off the latest over bowled by Nathan McGuire.
20:01 (IST)

19:53 (IST)
After 18 overs, India 119/0 (Angkrish 63, Harnoor 47)
Runs keep coming for India, with Ireland being even more desperate for a breakthrough. Angkrish finds the fine leg fence for a boundary. Not the best of spells for McGuire so far as seven runs come off his latest over. His figures read 0/25 from three overs so far. Jamie Forbes bowls the over that follows. Just three runs come off it.
19:39 (IST)
After 13 overs, India 91/0 (Raghuvanshi 53, Harnoor 35)
